Japan: EU and Japan sign landmark trade deal in Tokyo
The EU and Japan signed a landmark trade deal in Tokyo on Tuesday, which the leaders said sends "a clear message" against protectionism.
The pact was signed by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk.
The deal is set to eliminate almost all bilateral tariffs and create one of the largest liberalised trade zones, covering nearly a third of the world's GDP.
