
Russia: France and Denmark appear content with draw as teams advance to WC knockout stage
The French and Danish coaches gave their take on the 0-0 draw that secured both teams a spot in the World Cup round of 16 knockout stage, following their match in Moscow on Tuesday.
"We reached our goal. The most important was to be top of the group," said Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national football team.
He stressed that Denmark was "content with having a draw."
The coach of the Danish team Age Hareide expressed his satisfaction with the result adding that: "They worked hard in all three matches. Now we have time to recover."
