Mexico managed to beat Germany at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow on Sunday, staging with ease what many regard to be a surprise in the early phase of the tournament.

Mexico's Hirving Lozano scored in the 35th minute to bring his team a valuable win against the reigning champions, who were unable to deal with the counter-attacking football of their opponents.

Germany will have a chance to improve the impression against Sweden on June 23. Mexico will play against South Korea on the same day.
