Russia: Socceroos hold final training before France match in Kazan
The national football team of Australia trained at Kazan Arena in Kazan on Friday ahead of their first match against France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. A press conference took place before the training session in Kazan Arena.
Head coach of Australia team Bert van Marwijk said that whilst France is one of the world's top players, Australia has its own strengths through the cohesion of its team. "Not always the best players win, and a lot of times its the best team. And we like to be the best team, and we have to have a lot of discipline in the way we play and also we have to believe in something and it's very important that tomorrow we are ourselves", he said.
Australia is in group C and is set to go head to head against France, Peru, and Denmark.
The FIFA World Cup 2018 takes place at 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities.
