As many as 50 people staged a rally against the President of Philippines Rodrigo Duterte in Hong Kong on Thursday.

Many carried banners with photos of victims of Duterte’s alleged war on drugs which "has already killed more than 13,000 people" in Philippines mostly from the poor segment of society.

"They are being killed, slaughtered like animals not so different from the time of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo," a spokesperson for the Asian Migrants Coordinating Body Eman Villanueva said, addressing the crowds.

Two protesters symbolically re-enacted murder scenes to condemn extrajudicial killings.

The protest took place a mere 500 meters away from Hong Kong’s InterContinental Hotel, where Duterte is reportedly staying for his three-day visit.
