Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Tallinn on Friday, as part of a five-day European tour including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania.
Shinzo Abe kicked-off his tour with a visit to Tallinn, where he met Prime Minister Juri Ratas and President Kersti Kaljulaid as he discussed matters of digital development and cyber-security.
"We cannot accept any other argument with North Korea and that it is necessary to maximise pressure on North Korea" the Japanese PM said during a joint press conference with his Estonian counterpart.
He also spoke of shared knowledge between the two countries on the "abduction issue" referring to the alleged abduction of Japanese citizens by North Korean agents from 1977 to 1983.
His tour marks the first-ever visit of the East European counties by a leader of an Asian nation.
