Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Thursday that the St. Petersburg supermarket blast was an act of terrorism. Ten people were injured after a blast ripped through the Perekrestok supermarket in the Gigant Hall leisure centre on Wednesday evening. The homemade explosive, which was laced with shrapnel, exploded in a checkout lane around 15:30 GMT.
