USA: Third-largest wildfires in history spread across Cali

Thousands have been evacuated after wildfires exacerbated by dry conditions spread across southern California on Saturday.

The wildfires are third-largest to be recorded in California's history, threatening tens of thousands of structures and requiring the assistance of over 8,000 firefighting personnel and over 1,000 engines.

In 2017 alone California experienced five of the 20 most destructive fires in its recorded history.

Miles de personas han sido evacuadas por los incendios forestales que se extendieron por el sur de California, el sábado.

Tras haber consumido 267,000 acres, el incendio se convirtió en el tercer fuego más devastador de la historia del estado. Unos 8,000 boberos luchan por detenerlo pero han logrado contener sólo cerca del 40%. Solo en lo que va del año California registró cinco de los 20 incendios más destructivos en su historia.
