Deposed Catalan President Carles Puigdemont announced his openess to leading a possible unitary list formed by civil society representatives, instead of political parties, in the Catalan elections of December 21, during an interview in Brusssels on Friday. Puigdemont said that “he would be open to do it, but I would like if this was the result of the organisation of many people, also from political parties” and affirmed that this political alternative “tries to protect the basis of these elections; democracy, this fight against [article] 155, and the opposition to the limitation of democracy.”
