USA: 'What a crowd, what a turnout!' - Trump on visit to storm-stricken Texas
US President Donald Trump greeted victims affected by Hurricane Harvey, saying, "thank you everybody, what a crowd, what a turnout," during his impromptu speech from a firetruck in Corpus Christi, on his visit to storm-ravaged Texas, Tuesday.
Trump praised the rescue efforts, noting that "this has been a total cooperative effort." The US president went on to call the hurricane "historic" and "epic" before adding that "Texas can handle anything." He concluded his speech with another round of thanks, after which waved a Texas state flag.
At least 15 people are reported to have died in the storm, which is believed to be the most powerful to have hit Texas in more than 50 years.
