
Germany: Anti-lignite protesters sit on train tracks, interrupting coal station operations

Some 170 anti-lignite - also known as brown coal - protesters were sighted occupying the train tracks of a coal fired power plant near Allrath on Friday, in an attempt to shut down operations at the power station.
Police were deployed to the site where they cleared the site by lifting activists one by one, subsequently patting them down.
