Italy: Anti-migrant crop art appears in field near Verona
Some large-scale crop art with an anti-migrant message emerged in a field in Castagnaro, near Verona on Saturday.
The drawing depicts a vessel reading 'Africa', next to a vertical line reading 'Stop, EU'. Beneath the vessel stands 'Ius Soli No', in reference to the proposed nationality law which would grant Italian citizenship to second generation immigrants born in the country.
The piece was created by land-artist Dario Gambarin. It stretches across 25,000 square metres, and was made free-rotating with a tractor, plow and harrow.
