France: GM&S resorts to helicopters in defiance of factory blockade
French car manufacturer PSA Group used helicopters to transport car parts from their factory in Dompierre-sur-Besbre, Wednesday, as employees blockaded the site in an ongoing protest over the liquidation of the plant.
Employees of the GM&S factory have been blocking access to the Sept-Fons foundry, manufacturers of Peugeot and Citroen, since 4 July. The French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has called for the immediate end of the blockade of the plant.
The action against company bosses and car manufacturers Renault and Peugeot comes as workers fear they will lose their jobs in a take-over deal.
