
Russia: Putin holds meeting with Vietnamese President
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang in Moscow, on Thursday.
During their meeting, the two leaders commented on their strong ties, with Putin acknowledging, "The year of 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of the fundamental treaty of friendship."
Tran Dai Quang said, "I have visited Russia more than once, and only this visit is the first visit while being on a new post. I have recently seen many successes in Russia. I want to congratulate you on these successes because Russia continues to develop despite difficulties, challenges and sanctions."
