
Russia: Putin welcomes Vietnamese coutnerpart for first time in Moscow
Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang in Moscow on Thursday. The pair discussed trade relations and new investments projects, as well as international issues.
Speaking at a joint press-conference, Putin stated that "more than 20 major investment programmes were agreed upon, amounting to more than USD 10 billion" and that the Russian-Vietnamese Investment Fund would "invest up to USD 500 million in promising non-resource projects."
Quang praised the new trade agreements with the EurAsEC and said it would "create a breakthrough in trade-economic and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in particular."
