
China: OPPO releases the ultimate selfie phone
China-based smartphone maker OPPO unveiled the ultimate selfie phone, that lets users get ready for their close up by taking advantage of a 20 megapixel camera. The model, the R11, was on display at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai on Wednesday.
The OPPO R11 has a 20 megapixel camera on the rear and front, which employ a f/2.6 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
The Guangzhou-based firm shipped over eight million of its R9 series in the first quarter of 2017, propelling it to the ranks of the global top five smartphones in use.
OPPO has overtaken Chinese giants Vivo and Huawei, creating further challenges for Apple in the ever intensifying smartphone market in China.
