Some 15 shots were reportedly fired at the Venezuelan Interior Ministry and four grenades were thrown at the country's Supreme Court in what Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called an 'armed terrorist attack' against his government, in Caracas, Wednesday.

Maduro said, "I condemn this terrorist attack and demand from the MUD [Democratic Unity Roundtable] to denounce this violent action, which is clearly pro-coup."

The incident took place several hours after Maduro threatened that his supporters would take up arms if his government falls, speaking at a rally to promote a 30 July vote for a constituent assembly.
