USA: Dept. of State questions Saudi Arabia motivations over the embargo on Qatar
Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Heather Nauert addressed the Saudi Arabia embargo on Qatar at the daily press conference in Washington DC, Tuesday.
According to Nauert, "the more time goes by, the more doubt is raised about the actions taken by Saudi Arabia" and she wondered if "were the actions really about their concerns regarding Qatar’s alleged support for terrorism, or were they about the long simmering grievances” in the Gulf region.
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump voiced his backing for Saudi Arabia and other Arab Gulf states' blockade on Qatar.
