      There was panic near Amsterdam main station, on Saturday evening, as a driver drove into pedestrians, injuring at least five.

      The incident occurred as the police confronted the driver for being parked illegally. After hitting the pedestrians, police took the driver into custody.

      Amsterdam central station remained open despite the incident, which has not been treated as terror related.
