Russia: Cosmonaut Novitsky discusses his 197 days on board ISS
Russian cosmonaut and expedition 50 crew member Oleg Novitsky spoke about some of the highs and lows of his spaceflight, at the press conference in Star City, Monday.
Novitsky said the hardest thing for him was leaving “friends and close ones for a long time. I miss the live communication, fresh air, forest, some normal, mundane things."
He also recalled having to carry out his own filling on a tooth decay, describing how doctors on the ground had instructed him.
Novitsky returned to Earth along with French astronaut Thomas Pesquet on Friday June 2, after having spent 197 days aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
