Germany: West 'has become smaller' because of Trump admin policies - Gabriel
German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said that "the west has become smaller" because of the current US administration's policies, in Berlin, Monday.
Speaking at an event with representatives from the UN, IOM, Red Cross and other NGOs, Gabriel said "So that the West does not becomes weaker and smaller and lose influence, Europe must commit itself more strongly to its role in the world."
"When the United States [...] finds the enforcement of national interest bigger than an international system which is bigger than the national interests [...] when it is a land that doubts that there are people today who worry about climate change or even die because of it, then I say that the west has become smaller," Gabriel stated.
