
North Korea: Kim Jong-un oversees missile test launch
Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un supervised the launch of new anti-aircraft weapon system Sunday, following several weeks of ballistic missile testing.
The leader was seen standing away from the test site with his military aids and officials, watching the missile's launch into the sky with a pair of binoculars.
Kim Jong-un also ordered the mass production and the further deployment of the new weapon within the Asian country. Although the nature of the weapon and its testing time remain unknown, the test was organised by nuclear warheads developer and manufacturer Academy of National Defense Science, reported the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
