Spain: Anti-NATO protesters rally outside Madrid Foreign Ministry
Scores of anti-NATO protesters rallied in front of Spain's Foreign Ministry in Madrid, Thursday, as the NATO Summit got underway in Brussels.
The demonstrators waved Communist flags and carried banners reading anti-capitalist and anti-NATO slogans. Member of Red Roja organisation Angeles Maestro, who attended the rally, described NATO summit as "a step towards the escalation of war," which she said "is against the people."
On Thursday, world leaders gathered in the Belgian capital to take part in the NATO Summit, which US President Donald Trump attended for the first time since he assumed office.
