Belgium: Pro-EU rally takes place in Brussels on the EUs 60th anniversary
Hundreds rallied in Brussels, Saturday, to call for a united European Union on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the EU. The rally comes in the wake of a rise of nationalism, far-right groups and euroscepticism within Europe, including a number of movements for nations to withdraw from the EU.
Rally attendees waved EU flags while calling for unity, solidarity and cooperation between European nations. Some rallygoers held signs reading "We are EU" while one had a sign reading "Theresa May, please don't take my EU citizenship away."
