Ambulances converged on Westminster Bridge, London, Wednesday, following a twin attack near the Houses of Parliament. Numerous people were run down on the bridge and a police officer was stabbed at the entrance to the Houses of Parliament, according to the latest reports. The Metropolitan police stated that they are considering the attacks as a terrorist incident.

St. Thomas' hospital reported that one woman who was reportedly run over on the bridge has subsequently died from her injuries.

The alleged assailant in the stabbing was shot by police, according to the latest reports, as he tried to enter parliament.

The Houses of Commons, which earlier hosted Prime Minister's Questions, has now been suspended with MPs being told to wait in the chamber while the incident was resolved. Prime Minister Theresa May was reportedly ushered out of the palace by armed police.
