
Latvia: University of Latvia exhibits satirical cartoons on Russia's military operation
An exhibition of satirical cartoons dedicated to Russia and Russian military operations opened its doors to visitors at the University of Latvia in Riga on Friday.
The exhibition was officially opened by Colonel Vytautas Reklaitis, Chief of Staff at Riga-based NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (NATO StratCom COE), as part of the StratCom COE research project 'Humor militaris against the backdrop of information warfare.'
The exhibition was part of the conference which included discussions on the impact of popular late-night Russian comedy television shows on viewers' perceptions of Western politicians, as well as use of humour in the Ukrainian media during the conflict in the eastern part of the country.
