Switzerland: Kiev avoids implementing Minsk agreements 'on various pretexts' - Russia's Gatilov
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennadi Gatilov stated that a draft resolution on human rights in Crimea presented by Ukraine was being used to "make territorial claims and settle political accounts" by Kiev authorities. The statement was made during the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) meeting in Geneva, Tuesday.
"Such initiatives don't gain enough support. Such an approach contributes to confrontation in the Human Rights Council and the Third Committee and leads to further polarisation and division," Gatilov said.
Gatilov also stated that Ukraine "has never stabilised after the anti-constitutional state coup," before stressing that Kiev "has been evading the implementation of the Minsk agreements on various pretexts."
"The radical forces including those using Nazi slogans and calling for ethnic cleansing are on the rise with the complicity and the indulgence of the current authorities," he added.
