Ukraine: Donetsk protesters denounce 'ineffective' OSCE
More than 1,000 local residents gathered in the centre of Donetsk, Wednesday, to denounce the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for their 'ineffective work' in war-torn Donbass.
The locals marched to the OSCE office in Donetsk, carrying placards and banners calling for the organisation to 'tell the truth' or 'go home'.
One activist, Roman Trushin, complained that the people of Donetsk "allowed the OSCE to enter our land" but have failed to "do anything for two years already".
The representative of the OSCE office in Donetsk Olga Skripovskaya thanked the protesters for expressing their opinion and promised to "report to the administration that residents want the OSCE to leave Donbass".
OSCE began its work in Ukraine on March 21, 2014, after an appeal from the Ukrainian Government.
Their staff are working 24 hours a day in all the regions of Ukraine, monitoring and reporting on the situation. Several protests against the OSCE were staged in Donbass throughout 2016.
