Germany: Pimp My Ride can take a back seat as tricked-out vintage Chevy wows Essen Motor Show
A customised 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo all the way from the US was presented at Essen Motor Show's press day, Tuesday. The lowrider's owner and designer Brandon Gonzalez said that he started building the car 12 years ago, and that he has done "a lot of customising to it."
The car's nickname 'Spirit Runner' comes from Gonzalez's late father-in-law, who had hoped to drive in the car after Gonzalez had finished working on it, "but he passed away before we did. So we did it in memory of him, and you know, that way we say he runs with us still in spirit," Gonzalez explained.
The lowrider will be on display at the exhibition's 'Design and Crazy Cars' section. The 2016 edition of Essen Motor Show opens on November 25 and runs until December 4.
