
Peru: Obama, Xi Jinping and Putin arrive for APEC meeting on business
Leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) nations arrived at the Lima Convention Centre in Lima on Saturday for the APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting. US President Barack Obama, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were all welcomed at the event by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.
Founded in November of 1989, APEC is a forum of 21 economies in the Asia-Pacific region. Together they seek to promote the liberalisation of trade and investment and foster business and economic cooperation.
This year’s event is hosted by Peru’s President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.
