France: First drone-prix race launches on Champs-Elysees
Eight competitors took part in the first-ever drone racing competition on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, Sunday. They were welcomed by Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of the French capital.
Among the competitors was Luke Bannister, who gained fame after winning the World Drone Prix in Dubai this year, which earned him $250,000 (€224,124).
Bannister said it was "an amazing experience to fly drones on the Champs-Elysees" and continued to explain that perseverance and practice are the most important values for a drone pilot.
