France: Bomb scare prompts mass evacuation at Nice Airport
Passengers were evacuated from Terminal 2 of Nice Cote d'Azur Airport on Monday after an alert was raised over an alleged suspicious package on the premises.
Reports have emerged that a package was discovered in the Air France boarding area. Armed police arrived on the scene and passengers were evacuated immediately.
The airport is located just 2.5 miles (4 kilometres) from the site of the Bastille Day massacre where 84 people lost their lives when a lorry ploughed down the Promenade des Anglais. The city has since been on high alert following the attack.
