
Slovenia: Putin arrives in Ljubljana for ceremony and bilateral talks
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at Ljubljana, Saturday to participate in the unveiling ceremony of a monument to Russian and Soviet soldiers, killed during the World Wars.
The president’s visit has been timed to land on the centennial of the construction of the Russian chapel at the Vrsic mountain pass, a site Putin is expected to visit.
During his trip, Putin is set to meet with various Slovenian politicians, including his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor, to discuss the bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Moreover, the high officials planned to talk about current regional and international issues.
