Syria: Life continues in war-torn Aleppo
Life goes on in the government-controlled districts of western Aleppo, Wednesday, as the Syrian army has tightened its siege to liberate the eastern parts of the city.
Despite various struggles, many locals have chosen to stay in their home city. A local man said he wishes nothing but forgiveness for people who had wronged the citizens of Aleppo, stating that "he who leaves Aleppo was never truly from Aleppo," and adding "my father was killed, my house is gone and my shop was gone, but I'm from here and I will never leave."
Once Syria’s largest, most thriving city, Aleppo has been divided between the government-controlled west and the opposition-controlled districts in the east since 2012.
