Chinese company Yee-fung Technology and its general manager Wu Hao showed to the public their breakthrough prototype parking robot, reportedly the fastest in the world, at their headquarters in Shenzhen, Monday.

Mr. Hao stated that in comparison to their American and European competitors, Yee-Fung Technology's robots "differ from others in that the error with the laser navigation is less than 5 millimetres," Adding that "The robot can travel up to 1.5 meter per second, and it can bear 2.5 tons of weight."

The new parking robot technology is equipped with laser navigation and digital switching technology and is said to be able to take a car back to its owner in less than two minutes, adding some 40 percent more parking space than traditional car parks.
