Russia: Netanyahu honours fallen Soviet heroes in Moscow
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu honoured the Soviet war dead at a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow on Tuesday.
The ceremony took place in Alexander Garden along the walls of the Kremlin shortly after the Israeli leader’s arrival in the Russian capital on Monday. Netanyahu arrived for the two day visit for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Syria conflict and the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Another item is the possible return of an Israeli tank that was captured while Israeli forces battled Syrian troops in Lebanon in 1982.
Both Putin and Netanyahu will mark the 25th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic ties between Israel and Russia.
