      Sri Lanka: At least 100 dead as floods and landslides hit Kegalle

      Large-scale floods continued to devastate Kegalle on Wednesday, swamping homes underwater and leaving thousands of residents worrying for their safety.

      Floods have plagued the district for over a week, with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) citing the death toll at 101, while at least 134 people are missing.

      So far over 530 houses have been completely destroyed while 4,000 have been damaged by the floods.

      Floods have plagued the district for over a week, with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) citing the death toll at 101, while at least 134 people are missing.
