State of Palestine: Freed Palestinian journalist welcomed back with celebrations
Palestinian leaders and public figures attended a festival featuring performances by local artists in city of Al Khalil, Friday, to celebrate the release of journalist Mohammed al-Qeq from Israeli detention.
On Thursday, Israeli authorities released the Palestinian journalist, who almost starved to death after a nearly 94-day-long hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention.
Mohammed al-Qeq was detained by Israel's internal security agency Shin Bet in November over alleged links with Hamas.
