
Iraq: Australian demining expert killed near Kirkuk
The body of an Australian demining expert was transported from Kirkuk, Wednesday, back to Australia after he was killed in an explosion on Tuesday.
He was defusing an explosive device left by the so-called Islamic State group in Daquq after its fighters were driven out, according to reports.
The Australian citizen was working with Swiss Foundation for Mine Action, a charitable organisation.
