Turkey: First International Modest Fashion Week kicks off in Istanbul
The first ever International Modest Fashion Week kicked off in Istanbul, Friday.
Seventy designers participated in the event organised by Modanisa, an online retailer for Muslim fashion, with the show presented at the disused Haydarpasa railway station in the Turkish city.
Headscarves and long hemlines characterised the catwalk outfits, with summer colours and fabrics, evidently present in the collections.
This is the first fashion show of its kind, according to Turkish designers, who are reportedly trying to meet the high demand for "modest" fashion.
