OSCE officials observed the Victory Day parade in Lugansk, Monday, as thousands gathered to mark the 71st anniversary of Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (World War II).

In accordance with the Minsk agreements, a wide range of military hardware was not allowed at the parade. OSCE representatives examined the equipment before the parade and accompanied the procession all the way to the withdrawal zone. Among the hardware on display were BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, T-90 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, as well as self-propelled artillery and 150 mm howitzers.

Ceremonies are being held across Ukraine on Monday to mark the 71st anniversary of the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union at the end of World War II.
