
Ukraine: Two Russians accused of fighting in E. Ukraine sentenced to jail
Holosiivskyi Kiev District Court sentenced to 14 years in prison, Monday, Russian citizens Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov.
The two detainees were charged with involvement in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, and were found guilty of preparing an "act of terror" among other charges. The court sentenced them to 14 years imprisonment and confiscation of their property.
Russians Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev were detained by pro-Kiev fighters on May 16 in the Lugansk region, where they were allegedly fighting with the militia of the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LPR/LNR and DPR/DNR).
