
USA: Danny DeVito joins Sanders at homecoming rally in Brooklyn
US actor Danny DeVito joined Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders at a homecoming rally in Brooklyn's Prospect Park on Sunday, ahead of the New York Democratic primary set to take place on April 19.
During the rally, Sanders acknowledged that money in politics is an issue that goes beyond the presidential campaign, saying that it needs to be tackled by everybody, "Wall Street, Corporate America, the corporate media, the wealthy campaign donors are so powerful, no President alone can do what has to be done. And what has to be done is that millions of people have got to stand up and demand that we have a government that represents all of us and not the 1%."
The New York Democratic primary is due to take place in on Tuesday, April 19, with 247 delegates at stake. Front-runner Clinton currently boasts 1,761 delegates while Sanders has 1,073.
