Germany: Protesters clash with police at anti-Turkey rally in Frankfurt
Clashes broke out between protesters and riot police in Frankfurt, Sunday, as pro-Kurdish protesters were about to clash with Turkish nationalists, both of whom protested in the city centre.
Police in riot gear had to intervene and separate the opponents, using tear gas and batons. A heavy police presence was deployed in advance, as the authorities had already been prepared for an escalation at the event. Several people were minorly injured.
