
Ukraine: LGBT activists hunted by Nazi-saluting nationalists in Lviv
Far-right activists disrupted a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) festival in Lviv, Sunday, chasing down the festival’s participants though the city while clashing with police.
After Lviv City Court passed a law banning other events around the city on Sunday that were not I conjunction with the Festival of Equality, a group of nationalists came out to protest the event.
Gathering outside Dnestr hotel, the location of the festival which had previously been kept secret due to fears of altercations, the anti-LGBT protesters scuffled with private security hired for the event.
After attendees to the convention left the hotel by bus, nationalists chased the vehicles down the street, throwing rocks at both the mini-buses and the police.
