      Greece: Thousands of refugees march in Thessaloniki

      Thousands of refugees and their supporters rallied in the centre of Thessaloniki, Saturday, calling for human rights and the re-opening of the borders.

      The protesters rallied in the centre of the city carrying placard reading "Open the borders, Refugees from the camp of Diavata." The refugees chanted "thank you Greece" and danced traditional dances during the protest.

      About 47,500 refugees have been stranded in Greece, according to the official data released by the Greek authorities on Saturday, March 19.
