Turkey: Iranian and Turkish FMs condemn Istanbul suicide bombing
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu vowed to "continue our fight with the terror in a decisive manner in all aspects," during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif, in Istanbul, Saturday, following a suicide bombing in Istanbul, which killed five people and injured seven.
His sentiment was echoed by Zarif, who stated that "what we have experienced today in Istanbul showed us the inhumane face of terrorism," adding "I condemn terrorism."
Turkey has faced a wave of similar attacks in recent months. On Monday, March 14, a suicide bomb attack killed at least 37 people in Ankara, the second attack in the Turkish capital within a month. In January the Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack in Istanbul's Sultanahmet district where a suicide bomber killed 11 and injured 15 people.
