Hublot presented the Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black concept and special MP-05 Laferrari Sapphire concept at the Baselworld 2016 in Basel, Wednesday.
Hublot brought out two watches, both made out of Sapphire: the glass MP-05 Laferrari Sapphire, inspired by Italian car brand Ferrari and the Big Bang Unico Sapphire, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the firm's All Black concept.
Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black has a scratch-resistant transparent 45mm case with white luminescent indexes, so they can be readable in any condition. The Big Bang Unico Sapphire has 72-hour power reserve and can withstand water pressure at depths of up to 50m (164ft). The approximate price of the watches is $57,900 (€52,338). The MP-05 Laferrari Sapphire has 108 jewels under a crystal sapphire anti-reflective cover. The Laferrari Sapphire has been announced as a collector's item and will be limited to 20 pieces.
The jewelry and watch trade show 'Baselworld' has started in Basel, where around 1,500 companies such as Rolex, Omega, Chopad and others from 40 countries will present their concepts and collections during a period of eight days. Around 150,000 visitors and 4,000 journalists are expected to attend the trade show.
