
Turkey: Turkish coast guards attack refugees boat with sticks
A video released on Saturday shows Turkish coast guards using sticks to hit a rubber dinghy full of refugees as they sail to Greece in the Aegean Sea.
The incident reportedly occurred in Turkish waters as the boat was on its way to the Greek island of Lesbos.
Almost 150,000 refugees and migrants have so far arrived in Greece by boat this year, a significant increase on 2015. Over the 18 months there have been various accounts of attacks by Greek or Turkish authorities on boats containing refugees.
