Special Representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine, Martin Sajdik, addressed the press at the Minsk President Hotel in the Belarusian on Wednesday, after a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine and its working subgroups.

Discussing the meeting, Sajdik said that the group had agreed on two important issues. "The first decision of the Trilateral Contact Group is regarding the clearance of mines. It was agreed that the armed forces and the armed units from all sides should provide the denomination, enclosure and mapping of regions for mine clearance before March 31," he stated.

Sajdik went on to say that "the second decision of the Trilateral Contact Group was regarding the complete cessation of drills with firing on the contact line," adding that "this decision includes all types of weapons of all calibre, and comes into effect on the first of March, 2016 at midnight Kiev time."
